Developing leadership teams regeneratively
Finding your authentic voice, practising mastery and frameworks to help you learn
Back in October 2023,
and I took our first ginger steps into co-hosting a fortnightly podcast show, and a video one at that. Luckily, my intrepid partner-in-mischief had some experience and skills, particularly on the video (read tech) sides for which yours truly will ever be on catch-up. I remember how resistant I was at turning my desk into a mini-studio and how little I in particular didn’t know I didn’t know. Then the learning curve. One of the steepest I’ve climbed, and I’ve been on a fair few adventures in my time.Seven months later, and we’ve got 12 episodes of fantastic content on regenerative leadership and organisational development - why it’s so important now, what it looks like in broad stroke terms for us (they are both highly contextual) and essential practices for us to begin developing mastery, principally of ourselves, so that we can show up usefully and do good things in the spaces between us. Good things that regenerate and create conditions for life. Very different to many organisational realities, especially as things start to get harder.
In the final episode of the first series, Paul and I look back at:
🔑 Principles of Practice - how practice is an art that is at the heart of leadership development.
🔑 The Grace Framework® - to help you navigate emotions and life's hurdles with more grace and accelerate the process of developing personal mastery.
🔑 Learning Through Doing - a learning process for teams who would benefit from some breathing space to step back from daily busyness to look at how they are co-creating the reality they experience and what they might want to do differently.
🔑 Collective Leadership Assessment - a way to explore how effective leadership is, both individually and as a a cohesive unit by taking a litmus test of your team's culture.
We also talked to the wonderful Jennifer Hamady who is a beacon for anyone who is striving to become the most authentic version of themselves in their workplace and express their true voice in ways that will be listened to.
We also spoke about creativity at work, what gets in the way and how to cultivate an environment that breathes innovation.
And finally we brought to light how observing, exploring, and experimenting can lead to robust team leadership, especially in diverse and complex settings.
This episode is more than just a conversation; it's a toolkit for anyone ready to elevate their leadership and team dynamics. So, if you're curious about transforming your leadership practice, finding your voice, or fostering creativity where you work, tune in to this episode of the Pocket Dojo podcast.
We’ll be back in June with the second series where we’ll be talking with a fabulous line-up of guests about their regenerative work and practice, and listening to their words of wisdom for the challenges they have had to deal with along the way.
Thanks for watching,
It's been quite a ride and I'm really proud of what we've managed to create together. Thank you. Here's to Series 2 and the sharing of some great conversations into the remainder of 2024.
